Ganaraska Forest Management Plan Update
The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) is in the process of updating the Forest Management Plan (FMP) for the Ganaraska Forest. The last FMP was completed in 1998 and provided framework for managing the forest for the next 10 years. The current FMP has a December 31, 2017 sunset date and the new plan must be developed to guide the use and management of the Ganaraska Forest moving forward.
Throughout this process, the GRCA is seeking public input. Your assistance is much appreciated.
Current Ganaraska Forest Management Plan:
Ganaraska Forest Trails Project (Marsh Report) - August 1997
March 2017 Update - Through public input and stakeholder interviews, a Synopsis Report has been developed. It is as a stand-alone document, and should be viewed as a companion document to the Forest Management Plan, once the updated Plan has been developed and approved by the GRCA Board of Directors.
September 2017 Update - The Ganaraska Forest Management Plan has been approved by the Full Authority Board and submitted to the MNRF.
Your input is valued! We thank you for participating through comment cards, surveys and public meetings.
